A treehouse on the Toronto Islands

No grown-ups allowed!

At the 2013 Toronto Islands garden tour in May, we enjoyed a closer look (as close as grown-ups are permitted) at a cool new treehouse. Isn’t it great? I don’t know about you, but I’d trade a few hours of grown-uppiness for a little time at the top of the ladder.

Nice view of the lake, too. But that’s my inner grown-up talking.

I'd love a tree house in the garden. It would remind me of the time spent building a three story tree house with my brother and sister at the cottage…long time ago.

  My husband built a treehouse for the kids — really a fort on top of our garden shed — which was a playhouse for the neighbourhood when our kids were small. Then they grew up and the raccoons moved in. The treehouse went bye-bye some years ago, and I still miss seeing it.
